My Favorite Love Story ♥

Today I want to tell you about my favorite love story.

Do you know "Up"? It's one of the Disney's Pixar production.

This film premiered on May 29, 2009 in North America and opened the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

Actually it's a long story, but I will just expose the love story in it, because it will be a very long post if I don't :Þ

The story begins when young Carl Fredricksen, a shy, quiet boy who idolizes renowned explorer Charles F. Muntz. However, the organization fires him, because he has been accused of fabricating the skeleton of a giant bird he had claimed to have discovered in Paradise Falls, Venezuela, South America. Muntz needed a plan to clear his name. So he vows to return to Paradise Falls to capture the bird alive, and he will not return until he does. 

One day Carl befriends an energetic, eccentric, tomboy girl named Ellie, who is also a Muntz fan. She confides to Carl her desire to move her "clubhouse"—an abandoned house in the neighborhood—to a cliff overlooking Paradise Falls. So Carl promise to help her.

As time goes by, Carl and Ellie eventually got married and grow old together in the restored house. They work as a toy balloon vendor and a zookeeper. Ellie was so brokenhearted when one day the doctor told them that they're unable to have children together.  But Carl still love Ellie just the way it is. 

They save their money for a trip to Paradise Falls, but end up spending it on more pressing needs. Until one day, an elderly Carl finally arranges for the trip. But Ellie suddenly becomes ill and dies, leaving him alone.

Some time later, Carl still live in the house. He's ordered to move to a retirement home, but he won't. When he walk around inside the house trying to flashback-ing all of his memories with Ellie, he unaccidentally found their adventure book. Inside it, there are some photos of their journey, starting with their childhood, marriage, until when they grow old together as an elder.  He look through their last photo taken before Ellie got ill and died. Under the photo, Ellie writes something for Carl. It says "thanks for the adventure, now go have a new one ! Love, Ellie". After reading that, Carl remembered his childhood promise to Ellie, that one day he will help her to move their house to the overlooking cliff at Paradise Falls. 

Carl start his new adventure with his young company, a boy name Russell (member of Wilderness Explorer who attempt to earn his final merit badge), a dog name Dug, and a tall, colorful, flightless bird trying to reach her chicks whom Russell names Kevin who they met in the middle of their trip. They went through many obstacles and they also met some enemies, including Muntz himself. But, with a great teamwork and friendship they can beat it all. Finally they reach their destination, Carl's house have landed on the overlooking cliff beside Paradise Falls, as promised to Ellie.

Look how sweet it is, the love story of Carl & Ellie. It have been my favorite love story so far ! ♥
